Larry Appleton (Perfect Strangers) was always trying to get rich quick and of course all his schemes backfired.

Fred Sanford was the same way.

Larry Tate (Bewtiched) tried a get rich scheme and it backfired too.
Herman and Grandpa (The Munsters) were involved in couple of schemes as well.

I know Larry was very greedy and money-hungry but I don't remember any real schemes off the top of my head.
