Tape trading

For those who are new to tape trading, here are some things that has helped me and I hope will help you. First of all, do not buy from someone you don't know even if they have that ''hard to find'' item. This is tape trading , if they want to sell their tapes they can go to ebay. Never send more that one tape to a person you have never traded with. One guy sent 20 tapes to someone he never traded with and got nothing in return. Ask the person about the sound and picture quality of the show or shows that you want , what brand of VHS tape they prefer and let them know what brand of VHS tape that you prefer and how you would like the tape sent ( bookrate, Priority etc. )and ask the same of them. Most important is if you are trading for the first time with someone , post a trader check so you can get some feedback . Also, if you send by priority mail, send with delivery confirmation and ask that the other person do the same. This way it proves it was sent and delivered. Most importantly , trade for shows or movies that you want, not what everybody else wants. I've been trading for four years and this has helped me alot and I hope you can use some of this info.
