I have a vision etched in my memory of a black and white television show with Gene Kelly and Eydie Gorme singing a Christmas Medley with so much emotion and harmony that I thought they were truly in love. Their voices were so well matched that it should have made history I thought. The medley arrangement was so well done that as the songs blended from one to the next, I truly thought that "But Baby it's cold outside" was part of another song! I think it was on a Carol Burnett special, but I am not sure. Does anyone out there have the same memory of this "shivers down my spine" musical experience? I think Gene Kelly and Eydie Gorme were still young because they both looked delicious in that show. It was when Eydie and Stan Lawrence were either separated or divorced. Does that help the memory? Anyway, perhaps this thread will die. Perhaps I will find the way to relive those moments with someone else who may have seen this.
