I am looking to buy a laptop (or notebook...whatever you want to call it) that is between $600-900. It's something I want to take to school with me, so I'm looking for a laptop that is a good, durable brand and can play c.d.s and dvds (I'm not bothering to take a dvd player with me, so I'd like a laptop that has that built in). I'm also looking for something with easy Ethernet connection (since this is what the school I'm interested in offers in their dorms). I'm not looking for anything top of the line or anything, but I'd like for it to play DVDs and have a good amount of memory.
Can anyone recommend a good laptop brand that fits what I'm looking for? I also want to know your experiences with it--do you like the brand you have so far? What are some bad things about it, etc... Thanks to anyone who can help!
