Default Would a spinoff about Ashely and Hilary sharing a APT in NYC have worked?

I think I may have gave it a chance, just something i thought of because that's where they were headed in the finale. So would anyone have given it a chance if they actually spinned those two off into their own show?

it might have worked, although i wasn't a huge fan of either of those characters. nothing wrong with ashley, but i thought she lacked personality, whilst as for hilary i disliked that character. i found her extremely spoilt, shallow, self-absorbed and petty, and as for the voice, she was the dumb blonde-ish type of woman

I definitely would have sampled it, but I don't know how long it would've actually lasted. I don't see either of them as stars.

Nope wouldn't work! Ashley and Hilary wouldn't work well as main characters. Ashley was just the sexy girl that would walk into a room. Her personality was blah, plus she didn't get as many laughs on the show.

Hilary was ok, but to have a show focused more on her would get annoying after awhile. Like someone mentioned, she was too selfish, self absorbed and petty. It was good we only saw glimpses of Hilary on Fresh Prince. But to see her constantly on the show with the way she carried on would seriously get old and annoying fast!

I don't think it would have been a good idea.

There would obviously be changes to the characters once the spinoff started-lol Like it was to the Laverne and Shirley characters and the George Jefferson character

No it would not work. Some characters are meant to be supportive players, i.e Phyllis Lindstrom and Florence Johnston, and some are meant to be spunoff to lead their show, i.e. Rhoda Morgenstern and George and Louise Jefferson.
