Talking When Did the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 'Jump the Shark?'

*When Rosie O'Donnell started hosting.

*When it became too self-aware that it was a program for kids. Thus, it went overboard with the slime as well as the burp and fart contests.

*When it seemingly became more and more of a glorified commercial. For example, in 2000 Mel Gibson's whole arrival was centered on his movie "Chicken Run" and Robert DeNiro (star of "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle") was interacting with Bullwinkle in himself. Also, I remember in 1998 when Lacey Chebert, who was starring in "Lost in Space" at the time, was joined on stage by the robot from that particular movie. Even the year that Mike Meyers and Cameron Diaz hosted was essentially, an excuse to hype of "Shrek 2."

*When virtually anything and everything relating to Nickelodeon that was nominated won.

*A shooting taking place after the 2007 KCAs.

*When they gave Chris Rock the Wannabe Award, despite the fact that he was never remotely, a child friendly entertainer (due to his often profane comedy act). It seemed like Nickelodeon only based their choice on "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Madagascar."

*When Janet Jackson won the Wannabe Award least then two years prior to the "Nipplegate" incident at the Super Bowl.

*When Lindsay Lohan won for Favorite Movie Actress in 2006 (even though she recently, hasn't displayed signs of being a good role model) and subsequently "accidentally" mooned the crowd.

*When Britney Spears performed in 1999, wearing a tight-fitting shirt with no-bra (apparently).

*Other

I agree with you. I didn't like this year's KCA's too much. There were things "off" about 2007's KCA.
