I've been waiting for a thread like this, LOL. I was bored a few weeks ago and made full lineups for three channels. Here is the first...

Sitcoms Online TV
Specializing in classic situation comedies from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The shows are aired in blocks based on the era they originated from and then paired with a show of similar theme and style.

WEEKDAYS (Monday-Friday)
8am: "The Munsters" (1964-1966, 70 episodes)
8:30: "The Addams Family" (1964-1966, 64 episodes)
9am: "My Three Sons" (1960-1972, 380 episodes)
9:30: "Family Affair" (1966-1971, 138 episodes)
10am: "Bewitched" (1964-1972, 254 episodes)
10:30: "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965-1970, 139 episodes)
11am: "Julia" (1968-1971, 86 episodes)
11:30: "That Girl" (1966-1971, 136 episodes)
12pm: "Leave it to Beaver" (1957-1963, 234 episodes)
12:30: "Dennis the Menace" (1959-1963, 146 episodes)
1pm: "Father Knows Best" (1954-1962, 203 episodes)
1:30: "The Donna Reed Show" (1958-1966, 275 episodes)
2pm: "The Patty Duke Show" (1963-1966, 104 episodes)
2:30: "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" (1959-1963, 147 episodes)
3pm: "Happy Days" (1974-1984, 255 episodes)
3:30: "Laverne & Shirley" (1976-1983, 178 episodes)
4pm: "Three's Company" (1977-1984, 172 episodes)
4:30: "Soap" (1977-1981, 85 episodes)
5pm: "One Day at a Time" (1975-1984, 209 episodes)
5:30: "Alice" (1976-1985, 202 episodes)
6pm: "Mary Tyler Moore" (1970-1977, 168 episodes)
6:30: "The Bob Newhart Show" (1972-1978, 112 episodes)
7pm: "I Love Lucy" (1951-1957, 180 episodes)
7:30: "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (1961-1966, 158 episodes)
8pm: "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1962-1971, 274 episodes)
8:30: "Gilligan's Island" (1964-1967, 98 episodes)
9pm: "The Brady Bunch" (1969-1974, 117 episodes)
9:30: "All in the Family" (1971-1979, 202 episodes)

10pm-2am: Repeat of 8am-12pm
2am-5am: Repeat of 7pm-10pm
5am-8am: Repeat of 12pm-3pm

~~~
The pairing is explained as follows:
1960s:
Horror/macabre family sitcoms: "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family"
Single father/uncle sitcoms: "My Three Sons" and "Family Affair"
Magical sitcoms: "Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie"
The 60s woman: "Julia" and "That Girl"
1950s/1960s:
Mischievous little boys: "Leave it to Beaver" and "Dennis the Menace"
Nuclear families: "Father Knows Best" and "The Donna Reed Show"
Teenagers: "The Patty Duke Show" and "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis"
1970s:
1950s nostalgia: "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley"
Risque sitcoms: "Three's Company" and "Soap"
Single mothers: "One Day at a Time" and "Alice"
Workplaces: "Mary Tyler Moore" and "The Bob Newhart Show"
Primetime:
Black-and-white: "I Love Lucy" and "The Dick Van Dyke Show"
1960s: "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Gilligan's Island"
1970s: "The Brady Bunch" and "All in the Family"
~~~

As time goes on, some shows would be phased in and out, either fitting into one of the themes or two completely new shows coming in. For example, "Chico and the Man" and "Sanford and Son" would come in and replace the "Happy Days" and "Laverne and Shirley" block, or "Hogan's Heroes" and "Gomer Pyle USMC" would come in and replace the "Julia" and "That Girl" block.

Every now and then, some shows would be replaced for others on the weekday schedule. For example, after the first two complete "Peyton Place" cycles, it would be replaced by "Our Private World," a primetime soap that aired throughout the summer of 1965. After a few runs of "Falcon Crest," it would be replaced by a single run of "Howards' Way," an extremely popular British nighttime soap from the late 1980s.

The weekend stable of short-lived soaps would be a constantly revolving door. After one show finishes its run, it'd be replaced by another. "Flamingo Road" would be replaced by "King's Crossing," "Emerald Point NAS" would be replaced by "Bare Essence," "The Colbys" would be replaced by "Berrenger's," and so on and so on.

We have ALL come up with better schedules than the real netowrks out there. We'll have to join forces and somehow get the money and start our own channel. Those old shows have to be pretty cheap, right? Let's do it!

Of course, I'm getting carried away, but it's a nice thought.

I'm not very strict about that. It's just with all this talk about TV Land going down the drain, I thought it'd be fun to create our own "Classic TV" lineups. I figured 80s shows would be fine, since we have a lot of 80s fans on the boards. So you can go up as far as you want. I guess, though, as long as the majority of the show was in the 80s (as opposed to Full House, which began in 1987 and ended in 1995, making it a 90s show).
