Smile Weekend Coffee Chat!

Good morning friends! Another lovely Saturday here in Beantown. Today, I've got a spring project that I'm going to tackle. Not fun, but needs to be done, lol. As usual, I'm hoping for a movie from Netflix.

It's going to be beautiful outside today so I think clean of a patio chair and do some reading out on the deck. Then i'll watch some Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and maybe go for a walk.

Good morning gang!

I am working 3-11 tonight so I will try to do stuff around the house before then. It is a lot cooler here in Virginia then it has been the last couple days. It was 80 degrees on Wednesday day and yesterday it didn't even make it into the 60's.

Hello, everyone

I'm about to enjoy a bit of the morning air in a few minutes and walk my dog, then I'll probably have some breakfast I'm not really doing too much today other than working 2:30-10 I wish I had off today so I could go to the track and get some walking in.

Just wondr4d, why do ya guys have a new thread every weekend? You could have all these in one thread.

Hm, I wondered this myself, but then I realized it's probably better this way. An old thread might get lost under the new threads, and if one was stickied, it might get posted in all the time and I think it's cool that it's limited to just weekends

Umm. Let me think. Yesterday was the beginning of my weekend. So yesterday, I went to the mall and managed to find a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for myself. (my screen name here is from the Zelda series, BTW. It's short for Princess Zelda, a [nonplayable] character commonly found in the Zelda series - she's my favorite, haha.)

I don't know what else I've got going on here today... except a lot of homework, blah.

Good afternoon everyone, I hope things are well.

Our top story from TJL land, I actually worked a full five days this week! Although we're still laid off, we had a few side projects to keep us busy. It looks like I'll be working next week too.

Not really sure if I like this latest development, becasue I really got used to sleeping until after the sun came up.

Anyhoo, I worked my doorman shift at the Gaf last night, which was pretty uneventful. The bar was pretty crowded last night (it's been pretty dead the last two or three Fridays) so the guys must have been happy.

My ladyfriend was there with some work friends celebrating her birthday - again! I chatted with her a few times, but it was hard to get in more than a minute or two with me working and her friends..

We did trade a few text messages during the night. SHe wanted to see a movie today but... since she was coming down with a cold last night and she was out with her friend until 3, she wasn't feeling well today.

I called her this afternon to see how she was doing, and she sounded awful, although she did say that if she was feeling better tomorrow, we could do something.

I have to work the Gaf tonight, which should be pretty busy with all the NCAA games today. I'm not too sure how much longer I'll be working Friday and Saturday nights there. Sure the extra money is good, but if I'm working again, I would much rather spend my Friday night drinking to forget about my job and talking to this really nice girl I like who I'm pretty sure feels the same way.

ANyhoo, that's the news from the front. I'll report on more tomorrow.

God kväl, allihopa! Good evening, everyone!

Well, I just worked my five-hour shift at work earlier today. I am now home and relaxing. I realllllllllllllllllly wanna check out this thing called "Learn to Partner Dance" and just hang out over there. I am hoping that I can find a single guy to dance with. I have no one to dance with, unfortunately. I am not 100% whether or not I will go, but it should be in about 1-1.5 hours from now until I decide.

My pregnant Mexican cousin is in town this weekend, and I would like to take her. I just get the feeling she's easily tired and isn't too into dancing at the moment. She's already six months (nearly seven) pregnant, and she is having problems bending over. I think she's feeling fatigued already.

I am going to eat something first and then get ready. Ta-ta!

Today I went on a first date with a guy named Pat and it was ok. Hes a nice guy, just no sparks. I found myself thinking about Curt the whole time, and Im thinking of seeing if he wants to go out for lunch on Monday before work hmm. Other than that, I got a new CD and free lipgloss from Victorias Secret!
