Default Circuit City is came up with a new plan to deal with falling sales

Laid off the Higher paid workers and higher new people for lower salaries-lol
They are expected to layoff 3400 people and lost of people say this a cold strategy.

Well last July at my current company they did the reverse, they KEPT the workers with higher salaries and got rid of the workers with the lower salaries.

That makes zero sense.

I heard that on the news late last night.

I don't even like Circuit City. I prefer Best Buy or Fry's.

Circut City could use a better selection in their CDs and DVDs section.

It's just opposite here. You can't walk through our Best Buy without being asked by 30 different people if you need help. I hate it.

It seems like companies can do what ever they want to, whether it makes any sense or not. Over the years I've been through layoffs & a factory closure. Nothing surprises me anymore.

I like Circuit City better than best buy. Best buy claims to be cheap but its kinda expensive. Plus in best buy they give you F***** attitude when you try to return something!

Yeah, you can do that same here. But it seems like the ones you do seek help from are either rude or that have no idea what they are talking about. My mom had a guy tell her that if she didn't like the software she was buying once she got it on her computer and tested it out, she could bring it back. So, she bought it, didn't like it, and took it back, where someone at customer service told her she couldn't because of copyrights. And then he got snotty when she told him his own employee told her she could. OMG...learn what you're selling, you moron 16 year olds.

Bingo! same here. The employees are too young to answer complicated questions, but they have a big ass selection of classic TV dvd's and movies.
