The fact ION showed the entire series in one continuous run was a miracle in itself. It's just not a popular show anymore and they aren't going to continue showing a series that doesn't get good ratings.

Case in point, ION issued a press release on Wednesday announcing "soaring" ratings. While they made specific examples of "Mama's Family", "Diagnoisis Murder", and "Charlie's Angels", "Growing Pains" was no where to be found. It's sad, but its reality.

Lets be honest, Growing pains was sandwiched between all old geezer shows like Mamas Family, Green acres, and Diagnosis Murder. Growing Pains sticks out like sore thumb- it is a funny show !!! apparently funny is not allowed on ION. Growing Pains didn't stand a chance on the old geezer network, I don't know anyone but my grandma who ever watched those other shows. They don't appeal to anyone below 60- and chances are if your old enough to find Green Acres or Mama's Family hysterically funny- you are not going to like Growing Pains. ION is run by a bunch of morons who can't even show the 2 part episodes in the right order- they don't stand a chance on marketing to a generation young enough to know when a show sucks or not. They have no clue about marketing or much else, just look how cheap and unprofessional that website is. it all comes down to marketing- or lack of it.

I'm 14 and find Green Acres kind of funny; Mr. Ed was funny too, but ION stopped airing that when they were still PAX!!! All in all, they shouldn't have taken off Growing Pains.
