I was glad to see they are going to profile the case of Randolph Dial and Bobbi Parker on Dateline this Saturday night. In the tease about the case they posed the question whether she went willingly or was abducted. Looking forward to catch this one so wanted to let you guys know as well.

thanks CD. Maybe I will catch this, unless of course it gets pre-empted by a basketball game or something. It's bad enough I don't get UM on LRW, but me getting shafted out of seeing Dr. Jeff McDonald a few weeks ago on 48 hours was the icing on the cake. I don't even think the basketball game that they pre-empted it for on my local station featured a team from Michigan. Sheesh.

Caught the end of this last night. Bobbi Parker absolutely insisted she was taken against her will and did nothing without Randolph Dial's permission--didn't even try to escape when he was in the hospital with a heart attack. Her husband completely believed and accepted this and took her back after ten years with Dial and a year in prison!
The strange and frustrating thing was, twice over the years someone contacted the prison warden with where they might be and the prison warden did nothing! He did not contact other authorities and neither did whoever contacted him! So the escape or captivity, whichever the situation was, went on for ten years and got on Unsolved Mysteries rather than going for much less should the tips have been followed up on! |
