I'm about to pick up some lunch from the Chinese place in a few minutes...I was curious as to what everyone usually orders from Chinese food restaurants. There are so many different things to order, but I always end up getting the same old thing...can anyone suggest anything new?

I usually get the sweet and sour chicken...It tends to be a staple of mine. I also like sesame chicken, vegetable lo mein, and fried cheese wontons

How about you?

I thought that until about a year ago, too. Then I was coaxed into a Chinese restaurant by a good friend of mine. My mind was changed.

I'm a fan of chicken chow mein.

I usually get sesame chicken, fried brown rice, pepper steak or sweet & sour chicken plus a few extra fortune cookies. The only thing I hate about chinese food is that most of the stuff is high in fat so I don't eat it very often.

hot and sour soup foil wrapped chicken and fried shrimp some times i like genral tso. or sweet and sour chicken

I can't eat it. MSG gives me migraines so bad that I lose my vision sometimes.

I like lemon chicken and beef with green pepper and fried rice. I notice that most Chinese places say on their menu that they don't use MSG.

Beef Chow Fun (The 'wet' noodle variety)

Mongolian Beef

Fried Rice (Any type, i.e., beef, chicken, pork, 'house')

Sweet and Sour Pork

(I also love the tea they serve, and of course eggrolls for an appetizer)

and, like Jack, just about anything with rice or noodles

Hey can your friend come and coax my boyfriend into a chinese restaurant. I have tired so many times and I have failed and I really hate that he won't give it a chance since he has never tired it and just thinks he won't like it at all.

I have two favorite Chinese dishes and they are Shrimp Fried Rice and Beef and Broccile. But the shrimp fried rice is my ultimate favorite I could eat that everyday if possible.

and I haven't seen a Chinese restaurant yet that didn't have good tea.
