Any of you fans of Hogan's Heroes ever noticed that in many of the night-time scenes, despite the fact there is snow on the ground and the men are wearing heavy coats and shivering as if it is winter time in Germany, that you can hear crickets chirping in the background?
a couple of possibilities------they inserted cricket sound effects for night scenes to blend the soundstage shots with the outdoor ones...
...or...
...there really were crickets because they were shooting in a location that's reasonably warm year round.
I've wondered many times what the "snow" patches on the ground are made of---some kind of paint?
