Default Did UM ever do anything about Houdini?

People say he might've been murdered. Plus on the news I heard that some reletives of harry houdini are ordering an autopsy on his body to see if he did get murdered?
Did UM ever investigate this?

I did some reading on Houdini the other day (I think it was on Wiki). Wiki isn't always accurate, but I learned of a pretty interesting story from it.

It said, basically, that Houdini spent the latter part of his career trying to catch phoney psychics and that he and his wife had a secret code that they shared with each other. The code was to be used after one of them died -- the other was to go to a psychic and ask the psychic what the secret code was that the spouse was communicating from beyond the grave. Houdini told his wife that if there was an afterlife, and he could communicate with this world, then he would be sure to give the secret code to the psychic medium first thing.

She went to psychic after psychic, and none of them ever were able to get the code from Houdini's spirit, even though most of them claimed to have direct contact with him. lol

I believe that UM did do a segment on Harry Houdini, and as I recall it was this portion of his life they covered. Am I mistaken? I certainly saw the story of Houdini's wife going from psychic to psychic trying to retrieve this code from one of them, but never getting it. I don't know where else I would have seen it, and I remember it as a UM segment.

Hi All:

I thought I had seen every UM episode, but I must have missed the segment on Houdini.

I did however, recently see a show on TVLand (it was called, Hollywood's Mysteries and Legends or something think like that....) and they did a segment on him. The myth is that Houdini died as result of being punched in the stomach. (Houdini apparently believed he could withstand even the hardest punch. So, one night, while backstage at a theatre where he was making an appearance, a fan asked if he could strike him and Houdini foolishly said yes).

The truth, according to the program, is Houdini died because of appendicitis, an infection doctors believe Houdini had prior to the blow. So, thats the story.

Take care,
Christopher
