I am looking for episodes of "Down To Earth" which ran from 1984-1987 and Mr Merlin (can't remember the years).

I remember both of these. I loved Down To Earth. Unfortunately I don't have any episodes of either but I can't believe anybody else remembers them. Do you remember Rocky Road and Safe At Home? They were TBS originals too.
