I don't know. There's been no mention of a second color collection either!

Well...there's two answers to this one. 1) Is that it's a total mystery (even to them) & MPI just likes to play games with us or 2) MPI -put simply- SUCKS & should really hand over the episodes to another company to work on.

I really don't know what's up with them. At this point I wish they'd leave the re-mastering behind & just give us the episodes we are missing. They could call them "Additional Lost Episodes" & hopefully not charge a crazy amount...again...

Erin. It's mostly #2. The reason I state this is they have been informed countless times by fans about the screwups in the earlier lost episodes DVD set, as well as the VHS set that came out years ago...and to this day, they have no intentions of fixing it, as far as I know. Now for #1. It's not that they like to play games, but that profit is the bottom line. If they thought they could re-release the lost epsisodes set and make a killing all over again, they'd do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, all they would do is change the packaging on the previously released inferior product, with nothing new to add. I still can't figure out if it's their incompetence that is getting in the way of a new release, because the money motivation is definitely there.

Since you can buy product directly from MPI, I'm betting they're sitting on stock and won't proceed until they've moved enough sets. If you ever see the sets at a substantial discount on their site and elsewhere, either the new sets are coming or they're giving up.

With all due respects to the shows' fans, does anyone really believe that Family Affair and Doris Day sold more than the Honeymooners?

Are you talking about the Color Honeymooners? I'd like to know how much that set sold, that could definitely have something to do with why there's no word on any new Honeymooners releases.

Default I have the 1957 version of "Manager of The Baseball Team":

I got a MPI Honeymooners Lost Episode Vol. 28 5 years ago (the one that advertises the '57 version), and I can accurately say that my Vol. 28 has the '57 version because I have seen the '53 version and I noticed the small differences in between. I do realize that there are some MPI Lost Episode Vol. 28s that DO NOT have the correct version though.

I can only hope that if/when MPI comes out with the Color Honeymooners Vol. 2, they include at least one or two (or maybe all 8) of the 15-minute Color Honeymooners sketches that don't air on TV.

I have the volume with the 1957 version of "Manager of the Baseball Team" as well. That and "What's The Name" were released by MPI on VHS, but not on DVD.

I'm not being picky, guys, I want it all! LOL

Seriously, Bill, I wouldn't be at all surprised if sales on the Color Honeymooners would influence the prospects of new Lost Episodes sets from MPI. To them, it's still the Honeymooners. I realize there are different camps here. Some discount the 60s shows as non-canonical because they don't have Audrey Meadows or Joyce Randolph. Others don't like the Lost Episodes because they don't have the same "feel" as the classic 39. I view all of them as a wonderful body of work and love comparing the differences between the originals and the remakes, so I support them in all incarnations (except, of course, that movie from a few years back). To me, the best part of the color set was that we got, for the most part, complete shows with original openings, production numbers, and cast curtain calls. Sure, they've all been shown on American Life, but in truncated form, so I'd love if they would complete the color sets AND give us the sketches that American Life didn't include.

Honest, I wouldn't bother them again!
