Default Jack's Father

We find out that Jack's father is also Claire's father, but Claire doesn't even
bother to find out her dads name. Did anyone think this was a strange development?

I had the feeling this is what would end up happening, since episode 20, last season. When Jack`s father (Christian) went to Australia with Ana Lucia, he was yelling at a woman, that he wanted to see his daughter. I still am not sure if the woman was the Claire`s mother, or her aunt....But anyway, I can see why you would think the whole thing about Claire not wanting to know her her own fathers name, was a strange development. But really, if you look at it from her point of view, it really isn`t strange at all. He was never a father to her, and she didn't want to know him. He stayed with his other family for years and years, not being too concerned about Claire (although I am pretty sure he cared all along about her).....And remember, this is LOST. There might have been a time when she did find his name out.

I'm curious to know how Jack and Claire will find out, that they're brother and sister. I'm sure we are far away from that event, but I am still very curious. Maybe they will eventually find their dad`s body on the island, and both notice him, and then it will all come out.

Since that happened more recently than the flashback we just saw, I'm assuming it was the aunt unless Claire's mother made a miraculous recovery. Besides, it was the aunt who hated Christian and probably wouldn't let him see Claire. For some reason I think Claire's mother might have been more forgiving.

That certainly was a wild development. The coincidences keep mounting, which makes me think that this wasn't some random crash. I don't know know what it is, and who knows if the writers even do at this point, but there's a story there for sure.

I'm just wondering if the writers will end up having Jack & Claire develope a
love interest in each other. I sure hope not, that would just be too weird.
