I think Eddie became jealous after Tom picked up the Native American youngster using the same method that he had only done with Eddie..sort of a one-arm lift and then onto the other arm to be carried. Eddie felt hurt that Tom had extended this very special father-son gesture to the other little boy who was their house guest. I think Tom did it because the other child had a nightmare and he wanted to comfort him. Hope this helps to answer your question.

At the end of the show, Eddie does confess to Tom that he was angry with him for sharing their special father-son gesture with the other little boy and Tom completely understood Eddie’s feelings. Tom apologized to Eddie and promised that in the future, he would not make such a mistake again.

Dear Chris:

Hello,

I have seen this episode entitled "Love For Sharing" and you are very mistaken about Bill Bixby's character Tom Corbett asking Brandon Cruz's character Eddie Corbett. Have you ever heard of human error -- Tom is only human (he is allow to make mistakes, is that okay with you). You are being a little rough on Tom, don't you think? Thank you for your consideration and time, thanks again.

Have a peaceful, pleasant & safe day!!!!

Sincerely Signed,

Mindy

Chris:

Hello,

No, I am not angry/mad at you. I just was thinking you were a little rough on Bill Bixby's character "Tom Corbett." I have been a loyal fan of Bill Bixby for 27 years of my life and I was born 28 years ago (on June 13, 1972). We are message discussion board friends/buddies -- if you are willing? I hope you are willing to except my apology. Thank you for your consideration and time, thanks again.

Have a peaceful, pleasant & safe day!!!!

Sincerely Signed,

Mindy

I have been a fan of "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" for over 27 years now (I was born on June 13, 1972) -- "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" was my very first exposure to the very loveable Bill Bixby. I believe my second exposure to Bill Bixby was his role in "Under the Yum Yum Tree" -- and my third exposure to Bill Bixby was on November 04, 1977 in his role on "The Incredible Hulk." I am still am a very loyal fan of "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" but unfortunately I do not receive a channel or station which carries "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" -- I wish I did (I am very sad about that !). I did see "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" the year Bill Bixby passed away from his fight with Prostate Cancer -- when I learned about this devastating news I was so upset (I still haven't fully recovered -- I know I will never fully recover from the lost of Bill Bixby). Bill Bixby was a very good humanitian and wonderfully kind human being. Bill Bixby had very soulful eyes -- and I will always have love and respect for Bill Bixby. Thank you!
