Default The Fuller Life

The Fuller Life

Starring Nicolette Sheridan as Rachel Fuller, a semi-recently divorced mother of three living in her San Francisco hometown. Rachel is a highly-successful real estate agent, who maintains a civil relationship/friendship with her orthodontist ex-husband, Steve Fuller (Ted McGinley). Steve and Rachel have three kids: the spunky drama queen-Kendra Fuller, 15 (Amy Bruckner), the funny troublemaker-Cody Fuller, 11 (Paulie Litt), and the cute and bright-Claire Fuller, 9 (Abigail Breslin). Steve is now happily remarried to travel agent, Sarah Fuller (Rachel Griffiths). Steve and Sarah were introduced by Steve's fellow travel agent sister, Natasha Williams (Rosanna Arquette), who works with Sarah. Rachel and a widowed Natasha are still best friends, even despite the divorce between Steve and Rachel. The cause of their divorce was Rachel had been cheating on Steve with her "guy on the side". Even though, Steve was for just working it out and saving their marriage, Rachel was headstrong about getting a divorce, as she and her also-married lover had plans of leaving their spouses and starting a life together. Yet things didn't go as Rachel had planned, her lover decides to not leave his wife and family for Rachel and ends up ending the ongoing affair with Rachel-which leaves Rachel divorced, alone, and devastated. Rachel, now, is having a bad time adjusting to her new divorced life, and regrets pushing for a divorce and losing the life she once loved and still longs for. The whole family is doing well and adjusting not too bad under the circumstances, with exception of Rachel of course. Also, Her and Steve's daughter, Kendra is not too fond of her new stepmom, Sarah (who has failed at every loving attempt to get Kendra's acceptance into the family). Not to mention, Rachel and Kendra's mother-daughter relationship isn't the greatest, due to Kendra's stubborness and strong resentment towards her mother causing the divorce and leaving her with many emotional/psychological scars and issues.

Default Episodes

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
While Steve and Sarah go to Las Vegas for the weekend to celebrate their first anniversary, Rachel takes care of Cody and Claire for the weekend at her new condo, which the younger two just love to run around in. As Kendra refuses to stay with her mother, Natasha offers her to stay with her until her dad and stepmom return, but while staying at her aunt's house, Natasha tries her best to convince and coerce her stubborn niece into at least talking to her mother-which doesn't go well.

Ep2: Serious Tension:
Steve, Sarah, and Natasha join forces as they try to get Rachel and Kendra in the same room together and just talk their problems out. Yet their plans backfire as Kendra clams up and refuses to speak to her mother or about her mother to either of the four adults. Sarah steps in and shares a personal similarity between her and Kendra: she too was a child of a divorced couple and her relationship with her mom was never resolved, and she regrets not talking it out with her mom when she was younger. Kendra snaps and tells Sarah off, which not just hurts Sarah, but enrages Steve who has a private heart-to-heart chat with his daughter.

Ep3: Science Fair Time Again:
It's the annual science fair at Cody and Claire's elementary school. Cody waits until the last-minute, constructs a sloppy-looking Solar System, and receives an "A" for an overall grade, whereas Claire has started her's long before Cody, constructs a creative-looking solar-powered pizza oven, and receives a "B-" for an overall grade. After witnesses this unfair grading, Steve and Sarah set out to talk with the science teacher/judge (Ryan Stiles), who rudely informs them that he is the judge and will grade accordingly. Meanwhile at the science fair, Rachel shows up a bit "boozy and chipper" and ends up causing an embarrassing scene as she attempts to seduce other happily married fathers, who's wives join together and "gang up" on a very vulnerable and unsober Rachel-who becomes mortified and runs out upset.

Great, you cast Ted McGinley already. This won't last long with the king of "shark jumping" on from the get-go.
