Would Cliff cheat on Clair? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Now i know you may not like my question(and you don't have to answer but i would like it if you would).
the reason i ask because for years we always thought cosby was a family man like cliff Huxtable and that his life was based just like the huxtable.
but then his personal life(a personal life his wife didn't even know he had for like 35 Years) that he had cheated on his wife with 16 womens(including Andrea Constand In 2004)in the last 35 years and got aleast 1 women pregnut . now i think a family man is somebody that is home with there family every single day and not cheating like cliff huxtable. now i know he was a doctor but you know he was home alot so you know he wasn't cheating on his wife every month and getting somebody pregnut. so we always though that Bill cosby life was just like the huxtable before we found out that he was fooling around with other womens all the time now i feel that cliff is not a real family man because we always though that he was just like cosby.
and i do not like Bill Cosby as much as i once did because I Do Not Like People The Cheat On there Spouse and he was a cheater and that the reason i really don't watch the Cosby show anymore.
anyway i want to know what you guys think that if cliff would cheat? and is cliff a real family man?

I can't speak for Bill Cosby, of course, but as for his character Cliff Huxtable, I'd tend to think he wouldn't, or like to think he wouldn't cheat. I mean he usually couldn't sneak a sandwich or bag of chips out of the kitchen without getting caught. It seems like Claire (regardless of how one feels about her) would've killed him if he cheated on her.

I highly doubt that Cliff Huxtable would cheat on Claire. His character wasn't written that way. The fact that Bill Cosby cheated on his wife in real life has no bearing on his fictional character.

I don't think Cliff would cheat on Claire. You could tell that he did love her and he did put up with quite a lot from her. If he didn't love her he would have split years ago. I understand that you are disappointed in Bill Cosby. I am too but the fact is that I no longer look at celebrities the way I used to. They aren't role models and if I stopped watching something that a celebrity was in just because they do something I don't like I wouldn't be watching many tv shows or movies.

Cliff couldn't cheat on Clair. If he couldn't sneak food without getting caught how is he gonna have a girlfriend.

I could see Clair cheating on Cliff if she got mad at him.

Hello Bill Cosby is a a man. Cliff Huxtable is a fictional character.

Michael Landon was a womanizer but Charles Ingalls, his character on Little House on the Prairie, was a faithful and devoted family man.

Nah! Why would Cliff cheat on Claire, anyway? He needs to be more concerned with finding Sweetums the monster in his kitchen or Gonzo the Great in his office(excuse me for the muppet talk, but I still can't get enough of "Cliff's Nightmare". R.I.P. Jim Henson).

He probably wouldn't cheat on her, but he needs to. Cliff deserved a little bit more freedom than what she gave him.

I seem to remember one episode where Cliff told Claire that he would never leave her or cheat on her (don't remember which) because she would "Take him to the cleaners;" to which Claire agreed.

Like the poster above said, if she caught him with food, how could he have a lady on the side?

I don't think he would ever cheat on her, you could tell that they really loved each other, and they had respect for each other.
