Default Famous People in Infomercials, commercials, ads...

Mark Twain: his image appeared on packages of flour and cigars in the late 1800's.

Buffalo Bill Cody was used to promote Kickapoo Indian Sagwa and Kickapoo Indian Oil (whatever that is).

Elvis Presley, for a time, was the face of Southern Maid Doughnuts (fitting);

Priscilla Presley spoke up for Crystal Light as well as Linda Evans from Dynasty.

Lindsay Wagner, well known as The Bionic Woman, is probably the queen of commercials and infomercials. She was the face of Diet Rite (1960's), Twice As Nice Shampoo (1967), Lotte Chocolate (in Japan 1978), Kinney Shoes (1983), Jergens (1984), Nescafe (1985), Ford (1987 - 2000), High Road to Health, Vegetarian Cookbook (1990) and, most recently, the Sleep Number Bed (2003).

David Spade is the "No Guy" for Capital One commercials.

Tiger Woods, professional golfer. He has done commercials for Wheaties, American Express, Buick, EA Sports. Nike (a five-year $100,000,000 deal signed in 2000), Titleist, Tag Heuer, TLC Laser Eye Centers, Nokia, Accenture, Disney, Asahi "coffee in a can" (yes, the same Japanese company that makes the beer), Net Jets and Upper Deck trading cards.

In 2004, Woods was the world's top earning athlete with $89 million. He raked in $75 million through his various endorsement contracts alone.

Madonna signed a $5 million contract with Pepsi when they used her and her song LIKE A PRAYER in their commercial that only aired ONCE and for which Madonna was PAID IN FULL. Pepsi pulled the "controversial" ad.

Madonna appeared with Missy Elliott in Gap commercials. She was also the face of Versace in 2005 for two years.

Pam Dawber, who played Mindy on Mork and Mindy can now be seen in the infomercial selling the product EyeQ Product Lifecycle.

Florence Henderson, Carol Brady from the Brady Bunch is best known for commercials selling Crisco and Polident products.

Jerry Seinfeld's ads for American Express were hilarious.

Cher did an informercial for a hair care product line back in the early 90s.

James Garner and Mariette Hartley played husband and wife in the 70s for Polaroid cameras.

Howie Long and Teri Hatcher played spouses for Radio Shack ads.

The stars of Bewitched did commercials for their main sponsors, Chevrolet and Quaker Oats.

In fact, there was a great commercial for Chevy with Elizabeth Montgomery, Dick York and Agnes Moorehead opposite Lorne Greene, Michael Landon, Dan Blocker and Pernell Roberts of Bonanza. Unusual in that not only were the two shows on different networks, but one was a sitcom, and one was a western drama.

Liz Montgomery also did commercials for Lux soap and Clairol (I think).

Candice Bergen and Sela Ward were one time spokeswomen for Sprint.

Susan Sullivan (Another World, Falcon Crest and Dharma & Greg) was spokeswoman for Tylenol.

Shelley Hack was the Charlie perfume girl.

Kate Jackson did the Mercury auto commercials.

Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith did shampoo ads (Breck, I think).

Jaclyn Smith also has her famous K-Mart line.

Let us not forget Martha Stewart and K-Mart!!

Nobody's mentioned the ads that Bill Cosby did for Jell-O for many years. I remember those ads when I was little in the early 1990s.
