Info needed Unsolved Homicide of Cathy Dawson - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This is the story of a young nurse found burned in her vehicle along a lonely road in Somerset County pa. It occured sometime between 1980 and 1985. I have been told that on the twenty year anniversary of the murder unsolved mysteries run an episode on the case. I can't find anything else out about the case. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

UM profiled similar cases (such as the 1987 death of Kathy Bonderson), but I can't recall having seen the Kathleen Dawson case on the show.

It's possible that UM profiled the case very early in the show's run, and that the story never surfaced on Lifetime. But I can't say for certain.

Wow. A chill just ran through me. Kathleen Dawson disappeared the very day I was born.

In any case, it's fairly evident from an observer's perspective what happened to this poor woman. But legally, it wasn't enough to warrant an arrest.
