Good Move if he actually decides to stay in school and work on his game. There's no need to rush because the NBA will still exist once he leaves college. I think the fact that a lot of NBA teams want him as their first pick is a lot of pressure for the 19 year old

That would make Kevin Durant from the University of Texas as the #1 pick. He's only a freshman.

I agree. The only downfall is that he is built like a rail. He is too skinny. |

It'll be interesting to see how good he can be with TWO good hands. He's already got an awesome rebounding/defensive game.

Durrant reminds me of Tracy McGrady with a better shot, even though he is rail thin he is so smooth on the court. I have seen many of his games on TV, I try and find flaws but he is a machine offensively no matter if he double or triple teamed. He can shoot and take it to the rim which impresses me. He needs to work on his defense but that will come with time. It's going to be tough for the NBA team picking first to decide on whether to pick Durrant or Oden if they both declare. I think Oden will go #1 if they both declare just b/c big men with skill are hard to find.
Oden is a very humble player, he reminds me a lot of David Robinson both very big guys who can block shots. Oden just needs to work on his scoring, mind you like the poster said earlier it will be interesting to see how good he can be when his right hand is fully recovered. This years NBA draft can have three freshman being the top three picks along with Oden and Durrant, North Carolina's Brandan Wright would be the third overall pick if he comes out early. |

This is a hard choice for him to make. Go to the NBA get paid as the possible #1 pick or stay in school and risk the chance of less $$ and not being the #1 pick. If Jokiem Noah would've not stayed with florida this year I think he would've went #1 but this upcoming draft he'll probably be around pick 7-8. But he's got his priorties in order school first you won't play in the NBA forever. I think if he decides to stay It'll be a good choice.

I think it'd be a good move on his part to stay in college. It's nice to see someone as talented as he is not want to rush into anything. And I'm sure it takes a lot to admit what he did.

Oden has a nice game... but another thing he needs to work on is his stamina... he seems to tire pretty easily, which is not unusual for a young big man.. but a college season is only about 1/3 as long as an NBA season, and NBA games are themselves longer as well, in addition to being faster paced... Oden needs to be able to stay on the floor more. He tires too easily at this point in his development. As with most big men, he tends to get into foul trouble when he gets tired.
