Who sent you your very first P.M. at S.O.?? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I didn't get my first P.M. until 11-10-2002, which was about 9 months after I joined. LOL!! Just goes to show what kind of impression I made on people back then.

Anyway, the first person I ever received a P.M. from was Pavanbadal. I asked him if he could put important stuff like schedules of tv shows, etc at the top of pages so I wouldn't forget about shows that were coming up. He was very kind in his reply, and explained to me that he already did do that on most pages, and that he'd continue to do his best, and he always has done a great job with that!!

The first P.M. I ever recieved that wasn't in response to something I had written first, came from Pzelda, who was known then as Pzelda: Vicki!!! Her and I had just found out on the boards that we had known each other before we met at S.O., at a now extinct website that we both use to visit called Yesterdayland. In the P.M., she was telling me about a place where many of the former Y.L.er's were, incase I wanted to get back in contact with any of them. So, I guess that would make Pzelda the first S.O.er who voluntarily wrote to me. LOL!! Embarrassing thing is, that was my second P.M. ever, and it was 7 months after I got my first.

Oh MAN, I still remember sending you that PM!

What's the date stamp on it? I'm guessing that was in May of 2003, when I came back? Holy cow, that was a long time ago.

My first PM is on my other name, so I have to go open up IE, log into my old name, and look. lol (holy crap, it says I last logged into my old name on 9 January 2005. It's been a while!)

My first PM was on 9 June 2003, from Leigh Ann. And, AHA, my second PM was from you, Brad.

10 June 2003. You were going by mdntrider7 at the time.

Oh man, this is too funny. I just went into my Sent Items folder, and I actually still had that very PM I sent to you, and it's the first one there.

Man, that's a weird coinscidence!! The second P.M. that I ever recieved was from you, and the second one you recieved, was from me.

It does seem appropriate though that you sent me my first REAL PM, since you're one of my favorite people here, and since I've known you longer than anyone else, it shouldn't be any other way.

When I first joined, I don't even think we HAD a PM feature.

The oldest one I still have saved is from pavanbadal in 2003, but I know I've gotten ones before that.

Edit: PMs didn't arrive until SO started running vBulletin in early 2002.

I believe the first pm I got was from Wilcap who wanted me to join one of the survivor games on one of the boards. I don't have that saved so I could be wrong but I think it was him.

I know the first regular SO'er I pm'd with was Anthony ( Small Wonderian) in the summer of 2003. We would talk about football and stuff and the first PM I got saved is from Tara from September 2003 in which she wanted me to join her and some of her friends in Random so Tara got me over to CC. Thanks Tara.

Edit: I just checked my sent folder and I do still have the pm I sent him and it was WilCap who wanted me to join a Three's Company Survivor Game on the TC Board. It was August 10, 2003.
