Question The Happy Meter

On a scale of 1 to 10, how happy would you say you are on average?? I'd say I'm usually around a 5, which leaves plenty of room for improvement. How about you?? Please be advised that this is a public poll.

Default Considering...

I gave myself a 7. I'm usually happier, but the last few (six!) months, I've had chronic pain in my neck and upper back. I'm finally being treated for that, and if successful, I'll be happier. I also have a cloud of sadness over me from the loss of family members. I know I'll never be as happy as I used to be, before I lost them....never really enjoy a holiday like I used to. It's a good thing I was happy person to begin with...otherwise I would have cracked years ago.

I thank God that I have my husband. He makes me laugh, and we have a good time together doing the simplest things in life...watching movies, having friends or family over, going out to eat or getting take-out, or just enjoying our two young cats. It's one big pajama party with us. We laugh a lot.

You really are an encouragement Janice. You've been through so much, and are going through so much now with all your physical problems, and yet still, you remain a happy person. I haven't been through even close to the things you have, and you make me look like the grinch. LOL!! I know you've been through alot, but I just want you to know that you really are a huge inspiration to me!!! If it weren't for friends like you, my happy meter would probably be a 2, or a 3 at best, and that's the truth!!!

Last year I would have rated a 9 or a 10. Now it's an 8.

Nothing real big to complain about. My job just gets to me and I'm not doing what I love. Last year, as an Americorps member, I discovered what It's like to have passion for my job, and felt what it was like to truly make a difference and build something that will last!

It's been tough to go from that to a retail job. But I'm adjusting. And it could be a whole lot worse.

I am happy.

I'm probably at about a 7. I've been happier, but I'm doing better lately. A couple weeks ago I was probably at a 4-5

That's hard bc there are days, times & moments where I feel 100% depressed & hopeless, but there are times when I feel really, really happy & excited.....so maybe about a 5 overall.

I'd say I'm about a 3 lately With my parents separated, and no idea what I want to do in life, there's not much going for me. The little things (like my kitties, my vacation coming up this week, and the rare times I see my friends) are the only things keeping me going.
