Default When Good Friends GO BAD...

How many times have we seen best friends or casual friends get mad at each other? Too many. Here are some:

GOOD TIMES: Willona Woods and Florida Evans. Willona refuses to discuss sex with her 12 year old daughter. Florida gets mad at Willona for not doing what is right.

I LOVE LUCY: Lucy Ricardo and Ethel Mertz. Lucy as well as Ricky and Fred get mad at Ethel when she gets a "big head" while in her hometown, so they get back at her by ruining Ethel's solo performance in a show.

Lucy and Ethel get mad at each other in the episode when it's Ethel's birthday. Lucy buys a pair of pants that Ethel wouldn't be caught dead wearing and insults Lucy's taste.

The Ricardos and the Mertzes get mad abt a lease and so the Ricardos try to break the lease by causing so much noise and commotion so the Mertzes will kick them out.

The Mertzes get mad at the Ricardos (on purpose) because they think that Ricky and Lucy should live in a fancy penthouse instead of their brownstone apt. so they figure by causing a fight, the Ricardos will leave.

The Mertzes get mad when Ricky forgets to buy two train tickets to New York for their return trip from Hollywood. Then Ethel gets mad at Lucy when she sees Lucy with her hand inside of Fred's jacket while he is sleeping.

Also Ethel gets mad at Lucy over a washing machine that Lucy sells her and
then the washer goes haywire and she wants her money back. They kept
shoving the washer back on each other, it was pretty funny.

Larry Tate constantly firing Darrin on Bewitched. Larry was also Darrin's "best friend". Indeed!

On The Dick Van Dyke Show Laura gives Millie a recipe but leaves out an
ingredient on it and when Millie makes it, it doesn't come out right and she
gets mad because she thinks Laura did it on purpose.

George and Elaine forget to invite Kramer to the Flea Market. Kramer gives them the cold shoulder.

"I Love Lucy"-Lucy and Ricky give Fred and Ethel a brand new TV for their anniversary or something, then get mad at Ricky when he tries to fix it and ends up breaking it, then Lucy gets mad at them for getting mad at Ricky, and to get back at them, Fred breaks their TV, and the Ricardos thretean to sue the Mertzes or something, and they all wind up in court.

Also the one where the 2 couples buy a diner and go into buissness together, with Lucy & Ricky greeting all the customers; Ethel doing all the cooking; and Fred doing-something (I forget what). The 2 couples get mad at each other, they split the diner in two; with Fred and Ethel naming their half "A BIG HUNK OF AMERICA" and Lucy and Ricky keeping the name "A LITTLE BIT OF CUBA" for theirs. I forget how they get back together.

"The Honeymooners"-Ralph got mad at Ed numerous times.

"Friends"-Ross and Rachel; when they kept breaking up, getting back together, breaking up, getting back together, ....and took all the humor out of their relationship. It was funny the first couple times, but by the 90th time it wasn't funny anymore.

There was also an episode of FOL where Natalie and Tootie are vying for the lead in the school play. Tootie gets it and Nat spends much of the episode trying to humilate Tootie to get her kicked out of the play.

Is that the episode where she rolls the coconuts on the ground and Tootie has to jump out of the way?

also on "I Love Lucy" once, Mrs. Trumbell complained to Ethel about the Ricardos baby. When Ethel said something to her, she kept telling people about it over and over and over until Lucy got tired of hearing it. When she said something to Ethel, Ethel got mad at her.

On "The Dick Van Dyke show" once, Milly got mad at Laura when Laura became friends with the new neighbor.

I love lucy- When Lucy and Ethel buy the same dress for a charity show and both want the other to take the dress back. They don't and during the number Friendship, they tear each other's clothes off.
