Does anyone know of any special summer camps or websites I might try looking up? I have been trying to find summer camps for my sister. She's 14. She's too old for daycare, but we need to try and keep her busy for at least part of the summer. She functions on a much lower age level than 14. I will be watching my sister this summer, but if she stays home all summer she is going to get very bored and start acting up big time. Going to camp will give her a chance to do something with other kids. She is going to go to two different camps both of which are one week each for a total of two weeks. One is a camp for kids with Epilepsy called Camp For All and the other one is a camp for kids with different types of disabilities called Texas Lion's Camp. Other than these two camps I haven't been able to find any camps. I've read about a few camps, but they are out of state which won't work. If anyone knows of any specialized camps or related info. please post here. Thanks so much. My mother has me looking for camps that are for children with mental retardation. I don't like using that terminology because of the stigma attached to the word retardation. I guess that's because I'm overprotective when it comes to my sister. My sister has been diagnosed with having that. MHMRA (Mental Heath And Mental Retardation Association) diagnosed that years ago.

You're a good sister Jenny. She's fortunate to have you in her life. This reminds me of the song, He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother.
