Default URGENT! "All in the Family" expires later this year - visit HERE for renewal!

TV Land's contract for "All in the Family" expires later this year, and I don't think things look too good for this classic. I remember not too long ago it was taken off at 6:00PM-7:00PM ET because of weak ratings and after that, it was removed from 12:30PM ET. It then was placed in a time slot that was subject to being dropped for TV Land Originals and now come March, it's off the schedule completely. With all this in mind, I think the chances of "All in the Family" being renewed aren't promising.

The good news is though that we still have months upon months to collect signatures and convince TV Land to renew a show that literally changed the face of television forever and has continued to remain relevant today in its messages and themes. PLEASE take a moment to sign this petition and try to remember that you can sign it up to THREE times a week (that is the number of requests allowed from one person for a particular request). PLEASE tell any other fans that don't visit the TV Land boards to sign-up and add their names to this petition. We CAN ensure that "All in the Family" is renewed but we have to get organized and gather in numbers. I know a minimum of 250 signatures is a high number to aim for, but we CAN do it!

Spread the word and don't forget to sign three times a week!

Please direct ALL your signatures to this thread: http://www.tvland.com/boards/viewthr...ml.16_A&_DAV=2

Thank you for any and all support!

It's Time for the show to go and be replaced by another show from the 70's like

Rhoda
Alice
Mary Tyler Moore

I like the show but it's been on long enough

Yeah, I'm seriously burnt out on All In The Family. It's on dvd anyway. Time for new shows.

I would like to see The Mary Tyler Moore Show return to TV Land myself, but I don't want it to replace All in the Family, a personal favorite of mine.

There are other shows that have been airing on TV Land for longer (and at better times) than All in the Family. I can understand though why fans keep coming back time and time again - they love the characters, relish in the settings and humor, and recall fond memories of the earlier days when they watched their shows. I do the exact same with I Love Lucy and The Munsters, and All in the Family is quickly becoming another one so I want to see it stay and that's why I'm going to continue to push for its renewal.

I would also love to see MTM show back on TVland;however, I think "All in the Family" deserves a place on its schedule too. I already miss the show. I guess I will have to obtain seasons 3-6 on dvd if I want to see this gem of a show.

I signed to show support for this show for those who don't have it on DVD. I for one haven't watched TV Land in such a long time and the more classic TV I get on DVD, the less I need a station like TV. Why watch something cut up with commercials when I can see it uncut and commercial free on DVD. MASH coming to TV Land? Not a big deal to me but I do think its wonderful for those whose only source of this show is syndication. AITF, same deal. I had no idea it was even off the schedule until I saw this posting.

I hope they keep it or if they give it a rest and cycle it out that it comes back.
