On the DVD audio commentary Lucie Arnaz claims Donny had a reallife crush on her and that became the basis of the writers to create the ep where Lucie and Donny sing"What do you get when you fall in love" together. Where on earth did the writers of the ep hear or read he had a crush on Lucie Arnaz? Did he really or was Lucie honestly mistaken? Anyone?
PS Slight shame Lucie and Donny never again worked together: they had good chemistry.

It's been awhile since I've listened to that audio, but I thought she was saying he had a crush while they were working on that episode. I could be wrong, but it wasn't my recollection that she said the writers used that as a basis for the script.

Negative Nova. I listened to the audio commentary again just this afternoon. She definitely feels he had a crush on her in reallife first and the writers wrote about it.
