If you want your post to get noticed, think of a creative threat title. But don't type using ALL CAPS. I'm not the only one who feels this way. Please see the various links below on 'Netiquette'.

ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE IS TO TYPE WITH THEIR CAPS LOCK ON. All-caps might look cool to you, but experienced users will write you off as an idiot. It's okay to use all-caps for headings and/or titles in your messages, or even to EMPHASIZE certain words, but anything beyond that is equivalent to screaming at someone. Do you like being yelled at?

Unless you know the story on why certain people use all caps, I suggest you discuss this with a moderator rather than make a thread and point out the rules. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way.

It's so incidental. I just don't get it. Or perhaps I should rephrase that last sentence: "I JUST DON'T GET IT".

There is swearing on the boards, name calling on the boards and no one is bothered by that. However, the fact that Jodi types in all caps in too much for some people to take.

I understand you're new Way_Brandy, but this subject is old. Please just contact one of the moderators and they can explain things to you. On this particular board, we do not mind the caps. Perhaps you could answer a question, Way_Brandy that eludes me: WHY do you care? There are so many other things to care about. Countless things. I am very serious here, because I honestly cannot fathom these threads. If seeing CAPS on a FOL message board upset ME to the point where I posted a thread about it, I'd fall to my knees and praise God.

I'm from the 'outside world' and I think some people who spend a little too much time on the boards can't appreciate what is going on in the outside world. And believe me, to the outside world, etiquette matters, and as I stated in my original post, there are alot of etiquette 'netiquette' websites and all caps is rude, and the people who use it look dumb. Now, stop being a drama queen and get off your knees. And get down off that cross; someone needs the wood.
