I received the same reply from Sony about them not having a projected release date for season 2 of Hazel. However, let's more of us email them at: spn_questions@sonypictures.com and ask them to consider releasing season 2. They'll see there's interest in it and may consider doing so. Michael

I wrote to the above address and received the following:
Please contact our Home Entertainment customer service at [email]consumer@SPHECustomerSupport.sony.com to which I did. At least another address to possibly see the remaining seasons of Hazel released on DVD! Thank you. |

I got tired of waiting for Sony to issue season two, they may never issue it, so I shopped on line and found a place that has the whole Hazel series on DVD for 38 bucks. These are the same episodes (mainly cut versions recorded from TV) that you can find elsewhere, but for a lot more money. There's no fancy packaging, the discs come in plain white envelopes, but who needs the fancy packaging anyhow for this type of set? To get the whole series for 38 bucks, you can't beat the price. This set can be purchased at oldtimefavorites.net

I ordered it from oldtimefavorites.net. It is the same Hazel set that you can find elsewhere, but those places sell it for more money. Quality wise, the episodes are fair, about 7 on a scale of 10. Definitely watchable though. Most of the episodes are syndicated airings recorded from TV, trimmed to about 22 minutes an episode. For 38 bucks I would say it's worth it, you get the whole series and it's better than nothing until Sony issues more seasons, and there's no guarantee that will happen.
I watched a 4th season episode recently, the one titled Champagne Tony. This episode is noteworthy because the guest star is former pro golfer Tony Lema. He died tragically in a plane accident about a year and a half after this episode originally aired. |

You're welcome, rich. There is one Hazel episode I've always remembered but until now I didn't know which one it was. It's the one where Mr. B. is at home and wants to watch a golf tournament on TV. I just found out it's the episode titled- Stop Rockin Our Reception. Mr. B. wants to watch the golf tournament, but the reception on the TV is poor and they try to find out what causes it. I'm sure this has to be the episode I remember, unless there's another one where Mr. B. wants to watch golf on TV!

I've ordered about a dozen classic tv shows from sites like mentioned above. I get sick and tired of waiting for the studios to release them. I want to see them again before I am dead. Studios really need to get their head out of their ***
