Cool So this is where everyone is

Woo Woo Brother Racoon's!! I used to post on the old Honeymooners.net board until it shut down. I signed up here shortly after that(check my join date 2000). But the board here was pretty dead. I moderate a Yahoo Honeymooners club "The Racoon Lodge". You are all welcome to post at the Lodge.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theracoonlodge

I'll be stopping by more often now that everyone is here.

Welcome back. Let's all have a big reunion party. On the menu is:

3 bottles of grape juice, poured into wine bottles (so we can pretend to get drunk)
Kran-mar's Mystery Appetizer
Chinese food, delivered from across the street

anyone have anything to add to the menu?

Hey Greg,
I'm not correcting your spelling, but I would like to know. I have seen it spelled both ways. Kran-mar's & kram-mar's. Does anyone know what the correct one is? The official Honeymooners treasury book spells it KranMars, but I have the feeling that the book was wrong. The honeymooners companion spells it KramMar's, which makes more sense to me. Thanks in advance!

You're probably right since it stood for Kramden (Kram) and Marshall (Mars).

I watched "A Dog's Life" again to find out. The first time Ralph says it, it sounds like "Kran-mars." Each time Ralph and Ed say it after that, it sounds more like "Kram-mars."

I guess seeing the script is the only way to know for sure.

By the way, on the Paramount DVD liner notes, it's KranMar.

I have a theory. I bet the script says knanmars, because that's what the writers used. Then, Jackie got their mistake and decided to change it live. Then the rest followed his lead and changed it as they went along.
