Well it really doesn't look like a purse because the strap is LONGER than it is on a women's purse. So the Man purse hangs a lot lower than a women's purse

That reminds me of the episode of Coach where Hayden was given his own primetime coach's show. The producers gave him a (woman's) purse. Hayden said, "Does this make me look...confused?" Later in the ep, Hayden and Luther are looking in the dark cabin for Christine.

Luther: She couldn't have gone very far, she left her purse.
Hayden: That's not hers, that's mine!!

To answer your question, Solomon, I don't see anything wrong with it. For Christmas, my company gave all of us the large tote-like bags with the long shoulder straps. Why shouldn't guys be allowed to use them??

My husband carries a huge metal lunch box to work, I can't see him packing
around a man purse.

I think it depends on the type of work he does, if he is a construction worker then I couldn't see him with a Man purse but if he worked in a Office Setting then yeah it's likely he would have a man purse

Very True, he works in a factory where there are mostly men, so it wouldn't
go over too well. And he's 6ft 4in and muscular, so he would really look funny
packing around a mans purse.

Do you carry make-up around with you in it?? DORKY would be the polite way of saying it looks gay.

I don't personally do it, and I haven't saw any other men around here with purse(s) either. :/

It only looks gay when a guy wears the Bag across his body
