Default Top TV Womanizers (MSNBC)

Arthur Fonzarelli (“Happy Days”)
The Fonz was capable of summoning women with a simple snap of a finger, so it’s no surprise that he was often spotted around Arnold’s with a girl on each arm. And why not? After all, if he could get a jukebox started with a bump of his fist, who knew what he could do to the lucky lady by his side? It’s no wonder that Richie didn’t have a steady girlfriend until he went off to college. With Fonzie sleeping under the same roof, the poor kid never had a chance.

Sam Malone (“Cheers”)
Despite his central role in one of sitcomdom’s most famous will-they-or-won’t-they relationships, Sam was first and foremost a ladies’ man. It was precisely his string of conquests — perfectly emblematic of a retired sports star using his still-warm celebrity to attract women into his bed — that made him an ideal sparring partner with erudite, uptight Diane Chambers. After their split, he returned to his old ways and became one of the only sitcom lotharios to deal with the real-world consequences of his behavior when he found himself in a support group for sexual addiction. An anticlimactic end to a long career, maybe, but by then his Hall Of Fame status was already secure.

Dan Fielding (“Night Court”)
Anyone could sleep with countless women. Dan Fielding had vision. His idea of a hot date typically involved a Rube Goldberg-esque plan that involved props, costumes and the occasional wind tunnel. So horny that he tried to get around a sexy new stenographer’s self-imposed rule against dating coworkers by demanding to be fired, he was also kinky enough to bed a Zsa Zsa Gabor clone despite (and because of) her warnings that her ardor killed several husbands and crippled John Wayne for life. Why wouldn’t the women of the New York Manhattan Night Court spread stories about him the way kids talk about the bogeyman?

Cosmo Kramer (“Seinfeld”)
None of the “Seinfeld” boys seemed to have any problem landing one hot girlfriend after another. (Even famously romantically challenged George did fine.) But only Kramer had the kavorka, the “lure of the animal” that not even hanging 20 cloves of garlic around his neck (twice the recommended dosage) could cure. Admittedly lazy in bed (“Let them do all the work”) and without any visible means of support, he was nonetheless smooth enough to join the naked woman in the apartment across the street while Jerry and George could only watch in awe. He may have been a loathsome, offensive brute, yet women couldn’t look away.

Gob Bluth (“Arrested Development”)
Seemingly incapable of sleeping with a woman for anything as pure as the sheer pleasure of it, Gob’s sexual motivations were a Freudian nightmare. They stemmed from a narcissistic, insecure desire to emulate his father (in the case of cross-eyed secretary Kitty) or, more often, to establish dominance over his brother Michael. The latter proved tricky, inspiring him to consummate his impulsive marriage against Michael’s advice (thus making an annulment impossible) and frequently leading him into the arms of repellent women that he (wrongly) suspected his brother wanted. By the time the series ended, Gob was dating his teenaged nephew George Michael’s Christian ex-girlfriend Ann. It is assumed he quickly realized that he made a huge mistake.

Gob Bluth in the top five?

I'm already not liking this list.

Zack Morris of SBTB wasn't exactly a slouch in this department, either.

Andrew H. Brown from Amos N Andy deserves a spot on that list.

How about Vinnie Barbarino of Welcome Back Kotter, Keith Partridge (Partridge Family), Greg Brady (Brady Bunch), Michael Kelso (That 70s Show), Charlie Sheen (for both Spin City and Two and a Half Men), Barney (How I Met Your Mother)?

And, for you B & W fans, let's salute Bob Collins (Love That Bob), played by Bob Cummings, who practically invented the womanizer character. Dwayne Hickman played his nephew Chuck and sort of became his apprentice chick magnet. Later, when he played Dobie Gillis, he tried to put those lessons to good use but usually failed. However, his co-star Bob Denver didn't fare too badly once he landed on "Gilligan's Island". He had Ginger and Mary Ann fighting over him in nearly every episode and never once realized how lucky he was. Now that's acting!
