It's the story of a man (Johnny Garino) who had nothing. He never knew his parents and lived in an orphange in the Bronx NY untill he was 18. (and no one ever adopted him). Then he lived in the streets pick pocketing and commiting small robbery's of stores to get enough money to survive. Then three years later he steals a car and drives to Manhattan NY. A month later he met a mobster named Jackie Aprillo. Jackie heard about Johnny's small crimes and hired him to be in his crew. (as an enforcer/and hitman) Johnny then moved in Jackie's house. Johnny moves up the ladder fast.

As Johnny moved up the later he became close with his fellow crew espically Jackie. The two developed a strong bond and Jackie became like the father Johnny never had. Johnny also became like the son Jackie never knew ( Jackie had a son from a divorced marriage but his son is an adult now and is Johnny's age by now. Jackie hasn't seen his son in years) Over the rest of year the crew deals with cops and rival gang members. Street gang members Smokey and D Rock also kill each other.

Many other people also die during these conflicts. (how they are killed is explained in the post below) At the start of the new year Johnny becomes a captain in Jackie's crew. A month later Johnny and the crew go after their dream job. They rob the richest bank in Manhattan. Then Jackie and the crew go on a plane to California. While on the flight Johnny quits the crew and says "I'm done being a criminal I only did this to have enough money to survive and eventually get a place of my own one day".

The crew gets very emitonal upon Johnny quitting. They even start crying. Jackie says "you were the son I never had. Johnny replies "and you were the father I never had. Jackie replies "Look us at crying like a bunch of pussys were men and criminals. "Jackie replies "It dosen't make you any less of a man if you cry. It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man." Jackie: "Where did you here that? Johnny: "I heard I guy tell his crying friend that once"

Later Johnny buys a mansion in San Francisco California and says "I'm done I have everything I ever wanted and more. Thanks for everything guys. Jackie : I have your number kid all call you. Johnny : Good luck. A month later Jackie and his crew get arrested while trying to commit a bank robbery in San Francisco. They go to jail but two weeks later during a riot (they help start) they escape. Johnny naratting : Well that's the story I now live happily in San Francisco. But I wasn't a gangster.

I was a surviver and did everything to survive the only life I ever knew was crime. But I knew when to stop. But Jackie and his crew they don't know when to stop. I was a surviver I did everyting to survive but Jackie and his gang are rebels and did everything for the thrill of it . They may be free now but as long as they don't know when to stop they will always be in danger of being arrested or even killed.

Me on the other hand I'm done I can rest. But Jackie and his crew may never rest at what they do until they die or get caught. That's the difference between me and them. I'm a surviver and they are rebels. Jackie and the gang may be criminals and scum. But they were my scum. They were the only family I ever had and I will never forget everything they did for me.

The Surviver Season 1

1-"Tough Grandpa"- We meet Kevin's tough Grandpa who ends up joining Jackie's crew. Grandpa robs a 7-11 (but only steals 200 dollars)

2-"The New Hang Out"- Jackie's crew buy a manison where they will now do all the business dealings. Jackie's crew wins a fist fight with a rival crew. (Guest stars Al Pacino as Al the boss of the rival crew)

3-"Revenge"- Al's crew discusses a way to get back at Jackie's crew. Vinny becomes the new enforcer in Jackie's crew. Jackie meets Johnny for lunch. (Guest stars Robert Iler as Johnny Farina)

4-"Just Stop"- Johnny calls Jackie and unsuccessfully tries to convince him to give up his life of crime. Jackie's crew steal a truck and plans to use it to move their goods around. (Guest stars Robert Iler as Johnny Farina)

7-"The Bomb"- Al plants a bomb in Jackie's car (which is triggered when the engine stars) but Vinny finds out about the bomb just in time to save Jackie's life. (Guest stars Vincent Pastore and Al Pacino and John Ventimiglia)

8-"Party Time"- Jackie's crew throw Jackie a birthday party that Johnny attends. Al's crew tries to think of a new way to get back at Jackie's crew. (Guest stars Vincent Pastore and Al Pacino and John Ventimiglia)

9-"The New Bomb"- Al's crew blows up Jackie's new truck. Jackie knows Jake crew is responsible and vows revenge because several stolen goods were in the truck. (Guest stars Vincent Pastore and Al Pacino and John Ventimiglia)

10-"The Date"- Johnny goes on a date with a beautiful young woman named Caroline but contemplates when and if he should tell Caroline about his criminal past. Jackie's crew steal another truck and sell some stolen goods to some rich criminals. (Guest stars Vincent Pastore and Al Pacino and John Ventimiglia as Jake and Christine Lakin as Caroline Walters)

11-"The Dream"- Jackie dreams he kills Robby and prevents Tony's death. Al tries to think of another way to kill Jackie. Grandpa borrows Jackie's car and dies from a car bomb planted by Al that was meant to kill Jackie. (Guest stars Michael Imperoli as Tony and Tony Sirco as Robby, and Vincent Pastore and Al Pacino and John Ventimiglia)

12-"The Funeral"- Jackie's crew attends Kevin's grandfather's funeral (His name is revealed as Ethan) Jackie's crew plans revenge on Al's crew. Johnny has another date with Caroline but decides not reval his criminal past to her. When Caroline asks Johnny where he got all his money Johnny lies and says he won the lottery. (Guest stars Christine Lakin as Caroline Walters and Robert Iler as Johnny Farina)
