Steve, Eddie and Waldo on Family Matters did, on more than one occasion, I believe. I remember them trying to scrub the barracks floor with toothbrushes.

On Amen, Thelma joined the Army (in her wedding gown!!) after Rev. Gregory kept fainting at the altar. That story lasted several episodes. Of all characters in TV to join the Army, THELMA!?

Wayne Arnold joined the Army on The Wonder Years, but he failed his physical. (His friend "Wart" passed and was sent to Vietnam.)

Bubba Higgins joined the army but was not inducted. Ralph Munroe was drafted but not inducted. Ernest T Bass tried to join but was rejected. Homer Simpson joined the Coast Guard. Bill de la Dautrieve is a sargent in the army.

Boner from Growing pains joins the Marines, when he failed college.

JJ from Good Times tried to join the Army to help the family with money problems. Still remember JJ running up and down them steps in the Army recruting office.

Iola finally did join the Marines in Major dad(does that count?)

Arnold on diff'rent Stokes dreamted he joined the Military.

Wesley from Mr. Belevedre, also dreamted he joined the military.
