I know that many fans think that Roseanne had jumped the shark when they won the lottery, but am I the only one that ranks the lottery season as one of my favorites, I think that the it was starting to show its age in season 8, I think the changing the image completely was perfect. And their were many memorable moments in season 9. When Nick@Nite ran the marathons this past summer, I thought, wow, this isn't nearly as bad as its credited for.
Anyone agree. |

It had some good episodes, one of my favorites is "Home for the Holidays", and several other episodes are pretty good. But, there are also many episodes I didn't care for, mainly the episodes where they travel to somewhere else in the country. They were mostly just not that funny, especially the episode with Darlene's demon seed baby..

Erm I have enjoyed all of the seasons. A few eps in season 9 were a little over the top but some were good. The way the show ended was brilliant, this for me tops the show/season off. Brilliant and very emotional in a way.

I don't think it was season 9, but one of the last episodes: I guess maybe season 6 or 7.. my favorite was when Roseanne was pregnant & the Lunch Box was having some competition across the street & the new place had a drive thru window & Martin Mull was explaining that to Roseanne & so she takes a toaster and smashes it thru the window. lmao, that was hilarious & the whole way it was done..
anyone else like that one as much as I did? |

I'm a fan of Roseanne and I hate to admit, but I loathed Season 9. Every single episode. I can not think of one redeeming quality.
Wait ...... maybe that time ... nope, I have nothing for 'ya. |

I LOOOOOOOVE Season 9, it's my favorite season. So quirky, so outrageous, and a type of humor you NEVER see on TV anywhere. It's just so different, I love every episode of it, I can't wait for the DVDs to come out, I hope she does a lot of commentaries so we can find out why she did what she did.

I have to agree about Season 9 being underrated. While it's certainly not the best, it's not BAD by any means. Yeah, the lottery story wasn't the greatest, but I liked that the Conners realized their lives were just as scrwed-up, even though they had money. Also, "The Miracle" is flat-out one of the best episodes of the entire series.

I Would Rather watch Roseanne Season 9 Over the Cosby Show Season 8 And All In The Family Season 9.
I Would Rater Watch The Jeffersons Season 11 And Home Improvemet Season 8 Over Roseanne Season 8 Don''t get me wrong i like Roseanne but some shows have better last seasons then other shows. |

I love Season 09 too. NICK@NITE plays less and less of those episodes every time the show reaches that point.

I think in season nine, you saw much less of the cast. Really all you saw was Roseanne, Jackie and DJ. Of the recurring cast you saw more of Leon, Bev and Mark. I think I counted that Becky was only in 7 episodes of the season, Dan was in 12, and Darlene was in 14. It didn't really show how the lottery affected the whole family, but only Dan in a bad way, Roseanne and Jackie. I think there were funny episodes in the season, and I did enjoy "Satan Darling" because of ABFAB, and the finale was the perfect way to end it. I do think that there were dumb episodes that season, but I believe every season of every show has its share of stinkers.
