Out of all the characters Jackie played (not including Ralph Kramden) which ones where your favorite?
I LOVE Rudy the Repairman! His sassy mouth & that little fella that mumbles is hilarious! I also of course like Reggie Van Gleason III (and his dad lol). Joe the Bartender is always great as well! I just wish these clips where out on DVD because I would enjoy seeing more of them. Fenwick Babbitt & the Poor Soul where good (Jackie had that puppy face down perfectly!) but I like the more "harsh" characters. |

LOL, that was hilarious! The voice he did for Fenwick made everything sound so funny "Your a nice lady." His hands must have been so numb from that ice!

I'd say Rudy and his sidekick Whitey. The couple whose home they always destroyed were played by Art Carney and Zamah Cunningham. If one of them (especially Zamah) got in their way, Rudy would get in her face and make a threat, then Art's character would sheepishly say something to him in defense of her, and he'd let him have it too. There was one particular episode when the couple had a room full of dinner guests. Of course Rudy and Whitey show up to do some work, which requires that they move a floor-length rug. So, everyone has to get up in the middle of their meal (Rudy barking out orders the whole time) and move everyone to one side of the room, while they roll up the rug, then when it's halfway done, they all have to move to the other side to roll up the rest of it. Total chaos!!
