I liked so much about The Golden Girls. It is such a timeless sitcom and it never fails to make me laugh. It needs to be on at 6 PM again though. I liked it at that time, but 4 PM is fair enough.

Default The way the got along with each other!

What I love most about this show is how well the four ladies acted together. They actually looked like they were enjoying themselves and I truly believe they were. They really seemed like a family and helped each other out whenever one had a problem. Of course, they also got tired of each other sometimes like real families do and that was dealt with very well also. I think by this stage of each of their careers, none was trying to trump the others, they all looked at each other pretty much as equals and that's what I like best. Michael

Talking

Another thing I liked about the girls- everytime Rose was thinking about saying something that she wanted to say and Dorothy didn't want her to say it to the other girls-Dorothy would put her hand over Rose's mouth. The show had some good thing about it!!

Dorothy would do the same to Sophia when she would say something like this to Blanche- "Your a Slut or cheap sloozy" in front of Blanche's date!! Sophia was so bad. It made great rating too! That's why we love the Golden Girls!!!!

Default Hitting Rose with a paper...

I seem to recall Rose saying at least once it didn't hurt so bad, she was using a new hairspray that absorbed most of it...one of my favorite parts of Golden Palace was Rose's line that went something like maybe Rose Nylund isn't as stupid as you thought...

What I liked best were the insults and all the double entendres!

This reminds me of when Blanche was dating that little person, he was a doctor, was his name Elliott? Anyways, he was Jewish and she was ashamed to have him over for dinner because she thought the girls would react badly.

Some of my fav. moments from that episode:

Blanche: "Rose hired you to make teach me a lesson. You-hoo-hoo-hoo. (looks at the girls). Ha, ha, ha, ha. (realizes he's for real). God, I wish I was dead."

LATER...

Sophia: "It's so nice to meet you! Dorothy, can I please talk to you for a minute?"
Dorothy: "What is it Ma?"
Sophia: "That guy, is he a midget?"
Dorothy: "Yes, Ma."
Sophia: "Thank God. I thought I was having another stroke."

LATER in the kitchen....

Blanche: "If I'm nervous, he'll be ill at ease. Elliott is a guest in my house. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable. That would be...unsouthern."

Dorothy: "That's a good belle."

Blanche walks through the kitchen door with a tray of appetizers, walks around the armchair, declares, "SHRIMP!" and then circles the arm chair and marches right back into the kitchen. Classic!

I know what episode you are talking about. It was Rose who was dating a little person named Jonathan and Rose didn't tell them that he was a little person. Blanche kept putting her foot in her mouth when it came to him. It was a great episode and so funny!
