Thanks for posting that. I remember in early 1986 when it came on, but I never watched it. I have a few episodes that I bought from someone, it was ok. I personally liked Foxx's last sitcom, "The Royal Family" better.

Yeah I have 4 eps of the Redd Foxx Show and I agree Royal family was better. It was still great to see Redd Foxx and Carroll O Connor together in the same scene

in that series Redd Foxx's character is named Al Hughs, coincidently perhaps the name Al Hughs was mentioned in an episode of Sanford and son....
The one with Lamont choking the white woman(rehearsing for a play)..... Fred and Bubba are about to look through the window to see who the mystery woman is.
Fred-"I bet it's that Jackie Warnsbe"
Bubba-"It better not be, she just married Al Hughs' nephew last week!"
