Has a BACK UP Qb ever recieved a 3 Year Deal?-lol
I never heard of a BACK UP QB gettting a 3 year deal in all my years of watching the NFL-lol

I guess since McNabb keeps getting hurt they wanted to make sure the backup QB position was secure but they obviously didn't have enough faith in him to start him ahead of Jeff Garcia.

The Bears signed Brian Griese to a 5-year contract. He'll probably be the starter eventually. Backup QBs get 3-year deals all the time. It's not rare.
