I took four years of honor's French in high school...

I minored in it in college for a semester, too, but the class was so easy (and they didn't think i should skip ahead, despite refusing to give me a placement test), so I dropped it.

Spanish for six years. Me encanta esta idioma. And then I've been taking German for three years now. I really, really love it and I'm getting really good at it but it's hard to use outside of class since I can't really practice it on anyone. So sad. Which is why I'm moving to Germany in a few years. I really want to become fluent but it's so hard unless you are immersed in it. That's why Spanish was so easy to become fluent in, I had so many places where I could practice it.

We didn't have 'Honors' French, we just had 'regular' French, so I took 4 years of that. For some reason, I really picked up on it and that was a class I did really well in. Can't say the same about Algebra, but that's another topic.

Guten Tag. Wie gehst dir? Was hast du gemacht gestern?

I've been taking German for about 2 years now. I LOVE it. Although I'm not sure if the above is grammatically correct. I know that normally one uses the "simple past" form when writing, but I felt the spoken form would be more appropriate in this case. LOL

Yes, it is an enchanting language. It certainly comes in handy, especially when I am at work and the other women think that because I am blonde haired and blue eyed I have no idea what they are saying!
