Default The Number 23

Gotta give Jim Carrey kudos for at least trying to get out of the comic cliche we are all used to...but for some reason WE CAN'T picture him any other way!!! Just at the opening of the movie when he's sitting there trying to act serious, you expect a line from one of his movies any minute and IT HAPPENS!!! The corniest things were the titles of one of the characters and the author of the book...PLEASE!!!! The double entendre doesn't work here very well. The whole number 23 thing is just plain simple as in any math calculation possible so not to spoil anymore I'm just going to say...SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! I wish I did.

Somebody should tell Jim Carrey that the reason he is a star is because he is a comic, not an actor.

It's not his first serious role, this is the reason that actors get typecast. I watched Reel Talk last night and both reviewers thought it was good.

He did a wonderful job on 'Eternal Sunshine' but for some reason this try doesn't fit the bill.

I know, he did movies like The Majestic, Man in the Moon, Eternal Sunshine and The Truman Show. I just think his bread is buttered doing comedies.

Maybe he wants a change now and then, he might get tired of just doing comedies. Number 23 made 15 million this weekend for the #2 spot at the box office.

I just read a bad review abt Jim's acting and the character. This movie probably would have been better off with someone else playing the lead.

I think it was mostly because of the novelty to see him trying to be a character actor.
The lady behind me at the movies was laughing her @$$ off most of the time.
