This one is for the creative true-blue fans.

Let's say that we were going to write our own Honeymooner episode. What are some ideas, lines, plot, etc. that you would find fun? Let's face it, if we were all going to a R.A.L.P.H. convention and we did a skit, it would never come close to the real show. It would be fun, but somewhat predictable. I’m interested to find out what you would want to see. Maybe it could be a continuation from an episode that we wished could have happened. I would have loved to see what happened after “The Song Writers” for instance.


On another note,

I was thinking of creating a 2 hour movie from the Classic 39. If we could edit it properly, it might be a regular riot. We would just have to combine the parts that made sense and kept the continuity flowing. I think “Funny Money” would have to be a part of this. Any ideas out there?

You really caught my attention with this one. I'd definitely like to be involved on the creative side of things, I wouldn't be of much help with editing scenes together though. I think we could probably pull it off the same way they did the I Love Lucy movie, by editing three episodes together and filming new scenes to fill in the gaps (except filming new scenes is out of the question so we'd have to use other existing footage). Here's some info on the I Love Lucy movie to get the creative juices flowing:

Thanks for the link. I had no idea about that one. I don't think we will have a problem with additional footage. It's too bad we couldn't choose from all of the episodes, but I think we need to be consistent with the picture quality.

Although “The Sleepwalker” had two different screen qualities for some reason. I wonder why? It will just take a lot of studying of the scenes to make it flow. I will attempt this if I can configure the scene selections. My editing program isn't very good, but it would be ok for the rough draft. Let’s get those wheels a turning fellow Honeymoonies!

Because there was a 30 day lapse in time in “Funny Money” from the point Ralph found the bag, this might be a good one. If we can think of another episode to start it off, we could somehow transition to this one, especially how it doesn’t start off like most of the episodes. Maybe Something Fishy, Unconventional behavior, etc. Something to make the 30 days feel real….

Maybe Ralph and Ed can both loose their jobs in the same episode. Then Ralph can run into his old chum in A mans Pride.

I’ll lay off from the Lost Episodes for a while, see if I come up with something.

I had the same idea years ago but I never did anything about it. It will be interesting to see what the end results are from this project.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to involve the Lost Episodes, trying to blend them in with the Classic 39 would make it look too amateurish. Maybe if MPI does a good job remastering some of the Lost Episodes, that could be a possibilty (assuming we're in no rush to get this done). But even still, we'd only be able to use the ones that aired after the Classic 39 because of the different sets. Let's just stick to the 39 for now!

Good call on "Funny Money," I forgot about that 30 day gap in between the first and second scene. That leaves plenty of room for us to make the story longer. The idea of Ralph and Norton both losing their jobs is good too, except for one thing...if Ralph were to lose his job, he wouldn't get the suitcase full of money. I'm gonna go through a few episodes and try to think of something, I'll let you know what I come up with.

actually he would still get the money.. because they say "whoever found it" "it is usually the bus driver" even if he got fired he woud still be the person who found it.

Okay, but if he lost his job earlier on, it wouldn't make sense for him to call up Mr. Marshall and quit later. We're gonna have to be really careful with scene selections. For example, I was thinking about maybe using "Trapped," but we can't have Frank Marth playing a criminal in one scene and a cop in the next.

Yeah, Lol! I was thinking the same thing. I was a little sneaky and started watchin some of the lost episodes again. I betta get back to the 39 and get the ole wheels a turnin. This could take a year just to figure out what we should use. If we had advanced equipment, it would save some time. I think this will be a riot when we come up with something though.

This project definitely has potential, we're just gonna have to be patient with it. Who knows, when all is said and done, maybe we'll have something to look back on and enjoy, knowing we had SOME sort of involvement with the greatest show of all time.
