For me, that was on I Love Lucy. It's where Lucy goes to the club after spending all day trying to tell Ricky the news that she's "expecting". She makes the anonymous song request and he goes from table to table, singing, trying to find the happy couple.

Then there's the moment when it hits Ricky that it's him and Lucy who are the happy couple. From that point on, when he takes her up on the stage to sing, to the end of the episode, I just blubber. Lucy and Desi were really crying since they were expecting in real life as well.

That is the PERFECT instance of blurring the lines between art and life. When you see that scene, you forget that's in the context of a sitcom. All you see are two expectant parents crying for joy.

I know, I'm such a big mushball...

On the season opening of All In the Family in the 6th year when Gloria found out she was pregnant and Mike ran out on her after an argument. Archie had Gloria on her lap for a tender father-daughter moment. It looked genuine to a point that I was in tears. Any scene with Carroll O'Connor and Sally Struthers in a tender moment is moving and genuine.

That was really good, you could tell their love was genuine. I agree and will add these others.

Bewitched-Vision of Sugar Plumbs-Makes me tear up when Samantha gets a child to spend Christmas with her and Darrin. The kid (Billy Mumy) doesn't believe in Santa, Sam has to convince him he's real.

Brady Bunch-The episode that has Bobby running away, cause he thinks Step Mom's are mean. He gets his suitcase goes down the stairs and Carol meets him there with her suitcase too. She says the only steps that are in this house are the ones that lead up to your room. Makes me choke up every time.

The Flying Nun- Sister Bertrille is flying and lands, while landing a little boy sees her and thinks she is his Mother who died and has come back to him. I also get choked up on this one, especially in the end when Sister Bertrille has to tell Tonio that she has to leave.

Speaking of the Brady Bunch, the first season episode where Marcia's essay about Mike wins the Father of the Year award was very sweet too. It made me start to cry!!!

another sweet moment is when Chandler makes his speech to Erica the bithmother one of my favorite moments. I'm a HUGE Mondler fan hehe

The end of the "Bewitched" episode "A is for Aardvark" is the sweetest moment of that entire series

The last scene in the newsroom in the last episode of "Mary Tyler Moore" is also very sweet and poignant

Yes, I do tear up at Bewitched shows like "A is for Aardvark" and "Charlie Harper, Winner". Both were very touching and romantic, and both Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York were at the top of their game. No one could top the chemistry they had, which is why when Dick Sargent came on the scene, the show began to fall.

Dick Sargent was more of a step dad imo, he didn't seem to have any affection toward the kids like Dick York.

This might seem corny, but I love the friendship finally shown between Buddy and Charles. In Charles In Charge, with the episode, "A Fish called Buddy", I like the touching monologue Scott gives to Aames, who plays the unconcious Buddy. Anybody remembers that episode at all?

"And Then There Were Three" was indeed a wonderful episode, full of both laughs and tears. "What Every Young Man Should Know", also from Season 2, and "If They Never Met" from Season 4, are also terrific. The first one asks the question, would Darrin have married Samantha if she'd told him before their wedding that she's a witch? The second begs the question, what would Sam and Darrin's lives be like had they never met? Again, the powerful EM/DY chemistry is in full force. No offense in any way to DS, but the show was already sinking once he came on board, and rehashing previous scripts sure didn't help any.

I'm not one for crying over TV shows, but that scene gets me every time. I've seen it more times than I care to count, but Mary's "family speech" as I call it, always puts a lump in my throat.

I'd also like to add the final scene of The Golden Girls, when Dorothy leaves with her new husband, Lucas. She keeps coming back for one more group hug, and just before she leaves for the last time, she tells them, "You'll always be my sisters, always." And after she's gone, Rose, Blanche, and Sophia all stand there like they're waiting for her to come back again. Def. one of the most hearbreaking things ever, IMO.
