I would never go on a cruise!! Large bodies of water terrify me, and besides so many people seem to get ill. Same goes for flying across an ocean. The thought of being thousands of feet up in the air with nothing but water below just freaks me out. I once flew from Cleveland to Toronto and back, and flying over Lake Erie for 45 minutes was bad enough!!

I've never been on a cruise but I've been on a gambling boat a couple times. Gambling is illegal in FL so it goes 3 miles out to international waters. As far as flying, I've flown to Europe twice. I love flying anyway, so it doesn't bother me to fly over water.

I've never been on a cruise, but it would be cool to check out one day. I have flown across the ocean to Europe three times (makes it a total of six travels back-and-forth across the ocean).

I've done both and it wasn't a big deal. On the cruise ship you'll never know that you're moving until you go out and feel the wind blowing.

I've never been on a cruise either but I do go out on Kentucky Lake in a Bass
Boat every summer and I can't swim. And its never bothered me, I guess it just depends on your mindset. |

We'll I'd never get home if I couldn't cross an ocean. Planes are usually high enough that you can't tell whether you're over land or water cause you're usually above the clouds. The one time you can see land in transcontinental fligths is when you're just taking off or flying over Greenland going to and from Europe.

I've flown over the ocean to go to the UK before -- so that was two transcontinental trips. And if I play my cards right, I'll be going to southern California next month and staying in a hotel that is a ship. It's not a cruise ship, so it's not the same thing.
Really, the only thing that bothers me is getting decapitated in a horrific car accident. I am NOT scared of flying at all -- I've been flying for the last 17 years. If anything, I am more leery of flying on small planes than regular airline planes. At least when you're in an airline plane, you can go to the bathroom if you need to, but if you don't go before you get on a small plane, you're f*cked. I used to have to fly back and forth across the state VERY regularly in a small plane for eight years while I was still in school, and I can't even begin to figure out how many miles that would be total. I would do 400 miles round-trip in one weekend, so it adds up quickly. |

I'd do both. I have many phobias, but neither of those are one of them.

Definitely. I've flown over the ocean, and it was just fine. And I'd definitely go on a cruise if I had the cash.

Kind of funny, but my parents are going on their first cruise this Sunday. My mom's boss is paying for the whole thing. My parents are really excited.

I'll never go on a cruise. I have no desire to be stuck on a ship or to get sick. Screw cruises.
I have flown over the Pacific to get to Hawaii. It's definetly better if you sleep through it. As for small passenger planes...those things crash too much for me. NEVER fly on one of those. I don't need to get somewhere that bad. |
