Many here I'm sure know that at the end of this year sometime Get Smart will be available in stores... I'm wondering if it will be this same exact packaging, will they be seperate (all 5 seasons at once?), or will there only be one season released at first like most "traditional" shows?
I'm VERY interested in getting this but am looking to escape the "sound issues" many are talking about and would just to get one season at a time for around $30. |

I think they will be individually released. I'm not 100% sure on this though. Be sure to check out the WouldYouBelieve.com website. Carl will probably have more details as the releases get closer.

If I remember correctly, they will be in stores towards the end of this year.

The time, effort, and money has already gone into the extras, so it won't cost them anything to use them to keep the season-by-season sets more attractive to buyers.
![]() One thing they should alter, though, is to give the season sets a top instead of being open to the air---since there won't be a big storage box like the "entire series" set had. |

I really have not come across any 'sound issues'. I watch on a surround system so I'm not sure if that negates any technical issues with the sound or not.
Sometimes though, things come off sounding louder than they really are depending on how they're mixed. I'm not sure if it is urban legend or not but there used to be a theory that the late shows would turn up the volume on commercials to wake people up to see them. I don't think that is true though, instead I think you are going from sound that is a little more separated (voices/misc. sounds etc.) to sound that may be flat or right in the center of the channel (music). That may account for the feeling that the sound gets louder sometimes. Just my theory...I don't know. I think they sound fine. |
