Default The Wizard of Oz as Col. Potter?

At jumptheshark.com Harry Morgan is in one thread mistakenly referred to as FRANK MORGAN. FM was the wizard in the 1939 Wizard of Oz.

Col Potter (Frank Morgan) speaking to Hawkeye : I'll have to give the matter alittle thought of transferring Maj. Burns out of the 4077th now go.

Hawkeye: But if you don't transfer Frank out now he'll operate some more and he's no doctor at all.

Potter: I said go!! (Thunder strikes and Hawkeye flees jumping through the window in Potter's door!)

Margaret can be the Wicked Witch, and Klinger proved that he would make a great Dorothy.

Radar can be toto. While Trapper would be that bird in the background that was mistaken for a Munchkin hanging himself.

Better yet Trap could be the Winkie Guard who secretly despises the Witch (the guy who gives Dorothy the broom stick). Radar's animals or even teddy bear could be Toto--not Radar himself!

PS Remember I did not invent this. The person at jumptheshark.com did by mistakenly referring to Harry Morgan as Frank Morgan.

It was at the old Jumptheshark.com that someone mistakenly referred to actor Harry Morgan (who played Potter) as Frank Morgan (the Wizard in the 1939 Wizard of Oz). It was never on MASH the series itself!

I was at a dollar store recently and I noticed a dvd for sale of an old, little remembered movie called The Dancing Pirate starring Oz's Frank Morgan (also starred Rita Hayworth). It claimed Frank Morgan was of tv's Mash!

There was also a page (the first one) at jumptheshark.com on the Mash board which referred to Wayne Rogers as "Wayne Newton"! If you go to internetarchive.org and type in jumptheshark.com and then link on the January 3, 2007 board and go to the Mash board there you'll see it!
