Smile Agatha Christie/GI combine! Just an idea I've got right now.

Okay, does anyone read Agatha Christie mysteries????
Probably not, but for my fellow Christie fans, and of course GI fans, I was reading an Agatha Christie mysery ("Thirteen at Dinner" to be exact) and idea popped into my head... what if Hercule Piriot and Hastings found themselves on the island... and while they are there, Hercule's and Hastings's boat man is murdered or some crime is committed, and it's up to our favorite Belgian slueth to interrogate and analzye each of our favorite castaways!
I have several ideas of how to tie in some island romances (mag and g/p of course ) you know I'd have to.....

But anyway, even if you have no idea who Hercule Piriot and Hastings are, the story still could and should be entertaining 'cause I mean, wouldn't it be fun to see how each castaway reacts to murder... which one will be guilty... please vote on the pole (as soon as I get it up and working) to help me figure out who you want to be the main suspect. (note, that doesn't mean that they are nessasarily guilty, just, that's who the dective will have his eyes on the most)

Just an idea, I may try it out. (of course I will... remember, I have no life ) Tell me what ya'll think!
cowlover, you know how many other writing projects I've got going right now, but like, lol, why not add one more!

btw- if there are any Christie fans out there, I appologize, but I assure you I will not come close to capturing the brilliance of Chritie, "the queen of crime" (note, she wasn't a crimial- just wrote murder mysteries and a few romances) but I assure you I shall strive for my best

Talking Character introduction and disclaimer

Okay, like in all of my other stories, I unfortunately don't own any of the beloved castaways or Hercule Poirot or Captain Hastings... yes, it would be swell if I did, 'cause, then I could be really weird and go around telling people, "Hey, I own the Professor from Gilligan's Island" Oh well. *SIGH*

Let me introduce the characters:

Hercule Poirot: Originally created by Dame Agatha Christie many years back. Poirot is one of the best sleuths the stories have ever seen (at least in my opinion) with his 'little gray cells'; extreme brainpower. This Belgian is extremely proud of his famed moustache and is has a HUGE ego. But, this ego is not with out justification, for I have yet to see him fail to solve a case however difficult it may appear to be to the reader.

Captain Arthur Hastings: (also a creation of Dame Christie) Poirot’s good friend and eager assistance. Is a very straight forward, practical sort of man; level-headed in every respect. Often rebuffed good-naturedly by his friend Poirot for his lack of keen insight on human behavior and lack of attention to what Poirot considers important in cases. This is not to say that Hastings is stupid, but anyone could seem a little less intelligent when around Poirot's brilliantness (maybe... *GASP* even our dear Roy! But we shall see...) While Hastings likes a more involved participation in cases (such as searching for fingerprints, footprints, ect.) his companion sits back placidly and uses his 'little gray' cells to successfully solve the case.
I'm afraid I know much more about Poirot than Hastings, but I will avoid marring Hastings's character in every way possible.

Gilligan, Skipper, Mr. Howell, Mrs. Howell, Ginger, Professor, and MaryAnn: Good Heavens! If you don't know who these dear people are... you DO need much help!!!!!! (I will add you to my prayers)

Okay.... I'll put up chapter one just as soon as I've got chance... since EVERYBODY seems SO anxious to read it!

I like the new Marple series that the BBC put out in 2005. I'm not familiar with a majority of her work though ... except what's been made into movies. I'd love to read what you have so far...

Cool Murder she wrote...

YAY!!!! *screams hysterically because is so happy someone has posted*
Yeah, I've read some of the Miss Marple stories, but I'm more farmiliar with Poirot.

But even if you haven't read or even know who Agatha Christie is, I think you'll still be able to understand the story, 'cause it's just like some detective coming to the island and then somone getting murdered or something.
for the suspect... I like your choice Johnnycarnahan!!!! That's probably who'll I'll end up picking (because I have a few ideas for how this could affect the other suspects, will mention no names, you propably all can guess who in particular I'm talkin' 'bout... )

Okay, I'll post some as soon as possible , I really shouldn't have started another story, I seriously have got a lot started already... but I just thought it'd be cool
Thanks johnny!
:google: btw, I'm not garenteing this will be a mystery masterpeice or anything, it might be pretty easy to get to the bottom of, but, I mean, it's Gilligan's Island so it'll be fun anyway!

Smile Quick question

Okay, need peoples opinion about something.
In all of the stories I've read that have Captain Hastings in it, are usually told from his point of view, you know, like first person I believe. I was just wondering if I should write it that way or just write it like normal. Am I making sense? Probably not.
but could ya help me out guys and gals so I could get started!
Thanks

Sorry for not replying sooner, but school is nuts. I think you should try it in first person from Hasting's viewpoint ... it'll be something new and different. Either way though ... I'll read it!

I'm obviously the only one taking the time to reply to your thread. If anyone else is reading this, please reply. I'm still here ... just really busy with school, which unfortunately ... has to come first. I'll be happy when the semester is over.

I could use a Professor-centered fic right about now as a diversion from my studies. Good luck with the story!

Hugs,

Sheri

Talking Yayayayayayay!!!!!!!!!!! Someone Posted!!!!!!!

Bless you Johnnycarnahan!!!! When I saw that someone posted... I, I, I experienced many emotions.
Now I can begin it!!!!!
I think it will be in first person... 'cause, that would be different... and interesting...
and what sherie said, "If anyone else is reading this, please reply."
Yes, please, I beg of you!
Don't I always react so calmly to everything?
Yes, a good Professor fic is just what the Professor prescribed for a busy school goer!
ug... school.... Yuck, I'd much rather write fanfiction all day! oh yes, oh yes. 'kay, thanks sheri! now that I know someone is actually out there, I won't feel like I'm writing for no reason!
I'm not promising that it'll be to long, 'cause I've got a lot of stories underway...
like a sequel to "I Don't Know Why I Love You but I Do"... did anyone actually read that? cause... I haven't had any reviews
...was it really that bad????
I'll post some of the story as soon as I can! cross my heart and hope to eat fishpie!
