Default Has there been any other times in Sitcom History when a Show would mention another

TV show aired on another network and say GOOD THNGS about it? I'm asking because I was watching growing Pains the other night and Ben was talking about how much he loved the Cosby Show. And it confused me because it was a NBC show. So has there been any other situations where a TV show mentioned another show in a POSITIVE WAY that was on another Network?

What about the Gong Show? It was mentioned plenty of times by different shows on different networks.

Well actualy I would like to know if any other sitcom mentioned another sitcom in a positive way or was that the only time in sitcom history when Growing Pains did it

If you are talking strictly about sitcoms, none jump to mind right away, but I am sure there were a few.

On Barney Miller, a suspect told Wojo that he wanted to get home in time to watch All In The Family, Maude, Rhoda and Phyllis with his wife. Those are all CBS shows and Barney Miller was an ABC show.

I know this one is a drama and not a sitcom, Solomon, so forgive me. On the ABC drama Family, the wife decided to make herself a snack as there were still a few minutes to go before Mary Tyler Moore came on. Again, an ABC show referring to a CBS show.

Those are the only ones that come to mind now...

I've heard the Golden Girls mentioned, but can put my finger on where at the moment.

I heard that once on an early episode of SIENFELD they mentioned MURPHY BROWN; and Kramer auditioned for a role on it. MB was on CBS and SIENFELD was on NBC.

I don't know if this counts; but on the ALL IN THE FAMILY episode where the Jeffersons moved in; in one scene Archie was talking to Mrs. J and he said "I guess you didn't watch JULIA last night". (something like that)
JULIA was on NBC and AITF was on CBS.

No that wouldn't count because Arcie was just asking because Louise was black not because he thought it was a good show which is why she responded by saying-"Did you watch Doris Day?

On a second or third season episode of Mad About You, all the character's kept mentioning how much they loved watching Saved by the Bell, but both shows were on NBC.

The Golden Girls mentioned the Cosby Show.

I thought of two shows where a character was placed in another show(which was mentioned):
Alf was in Gilligans Island.
"Day by Day" did an interesting play on the Brady Bunch (this is a strange coincidence 'cause I'm now watching "Trapped in TV Guide", AND this ones about trapping people in the Brady Bunch - Joe Nameth ep.

I don't know if this counts but on the growing pains pilot Maggie was humming the Who's the boss? theme song.

Roseanne has mentioned a lot of television series. One that comes to mind at the moment is when NuBecky arrives and she says that Dick Sargent is her favorite Darrin on Bewitched.

I remember that.

But I think Solomon is asking abt a show that mentions another show that aired at the same time. Not years later.

Episode of Bewitched, Uncle Arthur turns into whomever he feels like at the time. He turns into Superman and flies, Samantha yells at him to come down or back. Then she tells him that The Flying Nun isn't gonna like this. Both shows were on at that time.

Good Times- Florida is in the hospital and James mentions Florida liking Redd Foxx, implying Sanford And Son which was on at that time also.

Actually that wasn't really a reference to Sanford and Son because they just mentioned Redd Foxx. He could have been doing some kind of stand up comedy act
